Flew in to Lamezia by Ryanair, just few days ago. No flight cancellations to this destination!!! Now enjoying weather and Italian lifestyle in Scalea… 

I was just looking at tickets in November Stansted-Lamezia and I see there is no problem ordering them. But in  worst case scenario there are always Naples or Rome.

We always fly into Naples as the only area of UK flying to Lamenzia is from London Too much hassel to get to London from North England. Also still need an hour on the train Naples Scalea by train is quite good.

I thought from Naples takes 2 hours, and from Lamezia 1 hour by train

To be more precise, by train from cities with major airports to Scalea you can get in:
from Rome — 3 hours and 49 minutes,
from Naples — 2 hours and 19 minutes,
from Lamezia — 54 minutes.

For the time schedule, please, check the link: http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en  e-ticket can be purchased online and if bought in advance(7+ days) will be way cheapper. Trenitalia also has an App for mobile devises, which will be very useful for you

What about bus?

I don’t think there are bus services from Lamezia airport to Scalea. However, I’m not sure, we always rented a car.
Don’t know about other airports.
